Pratik Mulpury, Founder

Pratik is a student at Duke University, North Carolina. He attended Mountain View High School, California and grew up in neighboring Los Altos. He was the Co-Editor of the school science magazine, Science Guru, and founder of the Educators’ club, a club that runs homework clubs in local elementary schools.  He enjoys playing tennis and listening to music.

Pratik’s hope is one day through his work at Yellow Pomelo, he is able to provide access to preventive health care programs to 100,000 people in rural India.

Dr. Anand Bodapati, Advisor

Anand is on the faculty at the UCLA Anderson School of Management in the Marketing Area. Prior to joining UCLA, he was on the faculty at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.  His basic research interests are in the areas of consumer decision-making/psychology and in assessing customer responsiveness to marketing. He applies his research in various contexts: advertising, retailing, direct-marketing, e-commerce, and social marketing for health and public policy.

Professor Bodapati has a Ph.D in Business and Masters in Statistics from Stanford University. He has a Bachelors in Mathematics and Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Dr. Kartik Kalyanram, Advisor

Dr. Kartik Kalyanram is the Coordinator of the Rishi Valley Rural Health Center, a low cost primary level health care centre in rural Andhra Pradesh catering to below poverty line rural families. Previously, he served for over 17 years in the Indian Air Force as a Specialist and Medical Officer. 

Dr. Kartik has a MBBS from Armed Forces Medical College and a MD in Aerospace Medicine from Institute of Aerospace Medicine, Bangalore. He is a graduate of the AAIMOMO program from USAF School of Aerospace Medicine.
